July 10, 2010: Friends of the McCormick Invasive Species Removal Work Day! Meet us at the south trailhead of the McCormick Wilderness at 10am. We will provide the tools, know how, and snacks to help protect the wild places from invasive species.
July 21, 2010: Our monthly meeting of the Board of Directors will be held at 6pm at our office in Big Bay.
August 28, 2010: The YDWP Annual Meeting of the membership will be at the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room this year. SA schedule is provided below.
3-5pm- Songwriting workshop open to teens and up
6pm- Board elections, updates of our activities, snacks and more
7:30pm-Concert featuring Drew Nelson and Mike Waite
September 11, 2010: Volunteer Water Monitoring Training. Help us collect our baseline data so we can keep things pristine! We will meet at the Yellow Dog River bridge on County Road 550 at 10am. Snacks will be provided!
September 15, 2010: Monthly meeting of the Board of Directors at 6pm at our office in Big Bay.
September 25th, 2010: Come and be part of a Great Lakes wide Beach Clean Up. We will clean the public beach in Big Bay at 10am.
October 2, 2010: Fall Hike to Tawadina Gorge on the Yellow Dog Plains. Meet at 10am at Cram’s General Store in Big Bay.
October 20, 2010: Monthly meeting of the Board of Directors at 6pm in Big Bay at our office
November 4, 2010: Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival is coming again this year. Location TBA and films start at 6:30pm.
