Education and Outreach
Part of protecting this place is making the effort to educate and reach out to those living or visiting inside or outside of the watershed. We do this by holding workshops, environmental education classes, encouraging public participation in local government, and openly inviting everyone to partake in watershed activities. We have been awarded in the past for our preservation education efforts and we like to focus on school children. Often, we hold outings where the local school is invited to help monitor the water, sample bugs, and just plain get out and move around in the natural environment. We have held past workshops and will continue to educate the public on this amazing ecosystem.
